“I would recommend Health Mentors unreservedly to other schools, I’ve done that already, the reason I would recommend them is that heads have got a really difficult job and in the current economic climate it is very, very difficult to employ someone on a short & long term contracts and it is also very, very time consuming to go through the process of selection. If you can go to a pool of talent of people who you know are safe, secure, can do the job and that’s who we go for and I would highly recommend it and I’ve done it.”
Robin Haselgrove, Head Teacher – Chad Vale Primary School
“… At the beginning of this year we employed a second Health Mentor to work on a one to one basis with children in the classroom. The children we targeted were those who were on school action, school action plus who needed precision teaching so Richard (Health Mentor) teaches a group of children for 5 minutes a day intense work on either spellings, reading or with their maths. And a lot of that is to do with not just teaching them on a one to one basis it is also to do with building up their own self confidence and their own self esteem because these are children that have continually failed in certain areas of their learning. Richard builds a relationship with them and it’s his job really to make them see that what they are doing is worth something and they are worthwhile and they can actually do it and it gives the pupils that self-confidence.”

“We have now used Evolve for over four years for PE curriculum support to help us deliver areasof our PE curriculum. We have been confident that our children have had access to good quality sports provision that has enabled them to develop specific skills across a range of PE activities. Staff are always well organised, adapt their delivery to suit individual needs and have good relationships with both children and in supporting our own staff.”
Jean Stark, Head Teacher – North Cockerington CE Primary School
“The high quality of expertise consistently demonstrated by the Evolve Sport staff provides us with Physical Education/PPA cover and this helps us deliver against the National Curriculum aims of teaching specific skills developmentally across the range of PE and sports disciplines. In addition, it enables the school to enter a whole range of sporting tournaments that are arranged by the SSP in the knowledge that our pupils will be taught the necessary skills to compete. We have found that the partnership that we have established enables school staff to work collaboratively with the coaches regarding teaching skills to mutually benefit the pupils.”
Phil Harrison, Head Teacher – St Helen’s RC Primary School
“All Damon’s staff are enthusiastic, well trained and act as great role models for our pupils… Most recently we have had Will teaching in our School during the lunchtime break. He has been brilliant from the start. He always arrives well in time to ensure that the necessary resources are on the playground and his energy and enthusiasm has ensured the success of this lunchtime animation provision. The range of activities offered are appropriate to the needs of the pupils and he has trained a number of more ‘difficult’ boys to support other pupils in a range of multi skill games, which has certainly improved behaviour during the lunchtime break.”
